I was living in a run down house that looked like a very warped version of my old home, like a mix of my friends grandmas house and mine. I was watching my siblings, the only two of them were my real siblings, my sister Kayde, and my little brother Robby, the rest were strangers I’ve never met before but they were identified as my siblings. I was taking care of the house and them when I noticed three of them sitting outside in the backyard dead, but it was like the were knocked in a video game type of dead, I revived one then they got knocked again and I heard a whooshing sound from what sounded like a fishing pole. I went back inside and locked the doors up, watching house carefully till my dad came home. I told him about it, then what sounded like my old step-mom Tawnya said my dad was gonna sweep the house, I said I should because I have actual experience being a soldier so I know how to sweep houses, so we sweeped the house together, then we got to the backyard, all three of my siblings were up again and my dad walked out and said “Okay Taylor” in a mimicking voice, calling me by one of my old friends that used to cut for attentions name. Then I heard the whooshing sound again and saw all of them knocked and told me dad, he saw too, except this time there was four siblings knocked, there was a little black girl with curly hair, who I also thought of as a sibling. Then we chased the killer around the house to one of the back doors that we noticed was open, we went inside and she was gone. My dad started looking through a different part of the house while I did too. Then I saw her come out of a garage/bathroom looking room, and I jumped on her putting her into a rear naked choke and knocking her out in seconds. Then we called the police. Then the dream switched, I was crawling around a highway with cars going around me, as I started crawling up an on ramp, it was hard and I was slipping down but kept moving forward as I was being shot at by skeletons with bows and arrows. Eventually I killed them and got past then, then I entered this weird room/shop on the side of the on ramp, inside it was dimly lit with pink light. A bunch of trinkets were in there. I walked out and was outside the 7-11 I used to go to all the time throughout my whole life, and there was a few people who’s voices I recognized, but only one person I visually recognized too, that was my exs friend Osprey, and he was asking for my Snapchat as we talked about something. He called me by the wrong name at first, then I corrected him. Then I woke up.
Your dream is rich in symbolism and reflects various layers of your subconscious thoughts and feelings. Let's break it down into its key elements for a detailed interpretation.
The warped version of your old home signifies a sense of nostalgia mixed with discomfort or unresolved issues from your past. A place that feels familiar yet dilapidated suggests that you may be grappling with memories that are not entirely positive. This dichotomy could represent your feelings towards your family dynamics, possibly pointing toward some unresolved conflict or yearning for a different time.
Your siblings, both real and strangers, symbolize parts of your inner self and various roles you play in your life. By taking care of them, you demonstrate a caregiver instinct, but their portrayal as both familiar and unknown might indicate feelings about your family identity or pressures of responsibility. This could be suggesting that you feel a caretaking responsibility not only for those you are related to but also for others around you.
The scene where your siblings are knocked out symbolizes feelings of vulnerability, perhaps indicating fears of loss or the fragility of family relationships. The act of reviving them signifies your desire to protect these relationships. The context of a video game seems to indicate that you might feel as though your life is somewhat out of your control, especially in familial matters, and that you often have to 'restart' or deal with recurring issues.
Locking the doors implies a need for security in your life. You are not only trying to protect yourself and your family from external threats but also suggesting that you want to control the environment around you. The anticipation of your father’s arrival could represent a longing for support or guidance during turbulent times.
The conflict with the killer suggests that you are facing fears or challenges that feel threatening. The presence of your father during this confrontation indicates you may seek strength and validation from parental figures. Your ability to take down the threat, however, points to a growing sense of empowerment and assertiveness in confronting your fears.
The transition to crawling on the highway symbolizes feelings of struggle and the difficulty of navigating through life’s challenges. The act of being shot at by skeletons suggests that you are dealing with past traumas or fears (skeletons in the closet) that keep resurfacing, but your eventual ability to overcome them indicates resilience.
The dimly lit room filled with trinkets may represent exploration of your own identity or finding joy in the small things even during dark times. It could also symbolize the process of sifting through your memories and experiences, gaining insights about yourself in a safe space.
Ending up outside the 7-11 you frequented throughout your life points to familiarity and comfort zones. Encountering Osprey and the mix-up of names may symbolize confusion regarding your identity or how others perceive you. This could reflect your transition from past relationships to new perceptions of self as you change and grow.
Overall, this dream encapsulates a journey through complex emotions related to family, identity, responsibility, and personal growth. You seem to be actively addressing challenges, seeking empowerment in the face of fears, and navigating through a mix of familiar and unfamiliar emotions. It suggests a holistic movement towards reconciling your past with your evolving identity, encouraging you to face your challenges head-on while clinging to the positive memories that give you strength.
